Are sciences more important than humanities?
Are sciences more important than humanities?
Throughout human history, science has solves uncountable misteries that have appeared in our life turning into one of most important pillars of the current society, but some experts think that science is more important than humanities.
Some people share this idea. The scientific community have developed plenty of theories, discoveries, inventions and so one and so forth, that have helped us to avoid complications and to satisfy or needs. A country government plan is developed by science, all that we can see in the streets is created in scientific terms, Problems like starving, sikness, etc. Have been fought with the help of the science
However, how much can the science solve? The human mind is conformed by two sides, the objective one and the subjective one. In the objective side we can find the mathematics, biology, chemistry, etc. In the other hand the otherside is conformed by the humanities, arts, music, phylosophy, language. I agree with the idea of the science as an important part of human society but we must enjoy our artistic side too, because we are not machines or robots.
In conclusion, both sides are equally important, sciences helps us to answer the most problematic questions that have passed through the human mind, but humanities makes us travel to the other half of our brain, we need both to "live our life" as good as possible, both must live together like brothers.
